Abstract
Title: To Conduct a Community-Based Survey on Hypertension in the Badnapur Area
Hypertension (high blood pressure) is one of the most common non-communicable diseases and a major risk factor for cardiovascular disorders, stroke, and kidney diseases. Due to changing lifestyles, unhealthy dietary habits, lack of physical activity, obesity, stress, and increasing age, the prevalence of hypertension is rising in both urban and rural populations. Early detection and awareness are essential for preventing complications associated with hypertension.
The present study was conducted to assess the prevalence of hypertension and identify associated risk factors among the residents of the Badnapur area through a community-based survey. Data were collected from individuals using a structured questionnaire that included demographic details, medical history, lifestyle habits, dietary patterns, physical activity, smoking, alcohol consumption, and family history of hypertension. Blood pressure measurements were recorded using standard procedures.
The survey aimed to evaluate the level of awareness regarding hypertension, determine the proportion of affected individuals, and identify factors contributing to the disease. The findings of the study provide valuable information about the burden of hypertension in the community and emphasize the importance of regular health screening, health education, lifestyle modification, and preventive healthcare measures.
This study contributes to understanding the current status of hypertension in the Badnapur area and supports the development of effective community health programs to reduce the prevalence and complications of hypertension.
