This study, titled “A Study on Risk and Return Analysis with Reference to Honda and Maruti Suzuki,” analyses the risk and return performance of Honda Motor Co., Ltd. and Maruti Suzuki India Limited from April 2020 to April 2025. The study aims to evaluate the relationship between risk and return and assess the investment potential of these automobile companies. The research is based on secondary data collected from company reports, stock market records, NSE indices, and financial websites. Financial tools such as Average Return, Beta, Alpha, Standard Deviation, and Correlation Coefficient were used to measure stock performance and risk. The findings indicate that both companies generated positive returns during the study period. Honda showed relatively stable performance with lower volatility, while Maruti Suzuki demonstrated higher market responsiveness and risk. The study concludes that understanding risk and return is essential for making informed investment decisions and highlights the importance of selecting stocks based on investors’ risk preferences.
