Postgraduate students have many responsibilities in their daily lives. Along with their studies, many students also work, support their families, manage financial expenses, and fulfill personal commitments. Handling all these responsibilities at the same time can be challenging for students. As a result, students may experience stress, anxiety, tiredness, and difficulties in their academic performance. This study aims to understand the main work-life-study balance issues faced by postgraduate students.
The study is based on primary data collected from 105 postgraduate students through a structured questionnaire. It examines how academic workload, job responsibilities, financial pressure, family commitments, and stress affect students' daily lives. Percentage analysis was used to analyze and interpret the responses.
The findings show that many students find it difficult to balance their studies, work, and personal life. Financial difficulties, lack of time, work pressure, and stress were found to be the major challenges faced by the respondents. The study also shows that these challenges can affect students' concentration, health, productivity, and overall well-being. Support from family members, flexible work arrangements, and effective time management were found to help students maintain a better balance.
The study concludes that educational institutions and employers should provide more support to postgraduate students. Counseling services, flexible academic schedules, stress management activities, and emotional support can help students manage their responsibilities more effectively and improve their overall quality of life.
