In the contemporary era of urbanization, there is no denying that adequate housing is one of the essential requirements of man’s existence. It plays an important role as the pillar of inclusive development and urban sustainability. Modern cities need environmentally sustainable housing arrangements to give their poor inhabitants dignified shelter. Affordable housing is not only a social requirement but also an essential component of balanced urban development.
In this paper, two different modules of construction are identified, and the material performance parameters are selected for evaluation. Factors such as cost, durability maintenance, construction period, and climatic response are considered to assess overall efficiency.
The study also, examine thermal performance and environmental impact to understand long term sustainability. A comparative - analysis will be conducted to determine which construction method or material is more cost- effective and suitable for adoption in PMAY housing to improve affordability, durability, and sustainability while ensuring long-term livability.
