Rapid changes in the life style of Indians, urbanization, increased health care facilities, upsurge in the awareness of common man about health care insurance etc., are some of the important factors that made health care insurance industry as a vibrant industry in India now a days.
However, there are equal number of challenges being faced by the health insurance operators in convincing more people to take the cover of health insurance. Lack of confidence of the general public about the insurance provider, misuse of the health insurance coverage by the physicians could be referred as the major blocks between the buyer and the service provider. In this scenario , health care insurance operators could follow a collaborative strategy to increase the share of voice for a collective gain.
