The betel, often called Piper betle, is a type of plant that flowers in the Piperaceae family of peppers that is native to the Southeast Asian region. The traditional and cultural medical applications of the leaves of betel (Piper betle) that have been employed in many cultures are thoroughly examined in this article, with an emphasis on the plant's many medicinal benefits. The overview covers the various uses of betel leaves leaf, from antibiotics to neuroscience, as well as its previous relevance in Naturopathic as well as Unani healing traditions.
