This study examines the liquidity position and its impact on profitability of selected Indian IT companies, namely Tata Consultancy Services, Infosys, Persistent Systems, Mphasis, and Coforge. The study is based on secondary data and employs ratio analysis and regression analysis to evaluate the relationship between liquidity and profitability. The findings reveal that while all companies maintain adequate liquidity, its impact on profitability varies across firms. Efficient working capital management emerges as a key factor influencing profitability, whereas excessive liquidity does not necessarily enhance returns. The study concludes that optimal liquidity management is essential for improving financial performance.
