CHALLENGES RELATED TO COMPLIANCE, DIGITAL INFRASTRUCTURE & AWARENESS AMONG SMALL ECONOMIC ACTORS
Small economic actors, including micro-enterprises and startups, often face significant challenges related to compliance, digital infrastructure, and awareness. Compliance challenges arise from the complexities of regulatory frameworks, often leading to difficulties in navigating tax laws, environmental regulations, and industry-specific standards. These barriers are exacerbated by the limited resources of smaller firms, which struggle to dedicate time and capital to stay updated with evolving regulations.
In terms of digital infrastructure, many small businesses face inadequate access to essential technology, such as cloud services, cyber security tools, and data management systems. The lack of robust digital infrastructure not only impedes operational efficiency but also makes small enterprises vulnerable to cyber threats and data breaches. The rapid pace of digital transformation has further deepened the digital divide, with some small businesses unable to adopt the tools and platforms that competitors use to stay competitive.
Furthermore, there is often a lack of awareness among small economic actors about the importance of digital tools and regulatory compliance. The gap in knowledge and understanding can result in costly mistakes, missed opportunities, or even legal penalties. Improving awareness and training for small enterprises, particularly in compliance and digital skills, is crucial to mitigating these challenges.
This abstract highlights the interrelated nature of compliance, digital infrastructure, and awareness as key factors influencing the growth and sustainability of small economic actors. Overcoming these challenges is vital for ensuring their resilience in an increasingly complex and digital economy.
