Impact of Antihyperlipidemics on Cardiovascular Diseases: A Comprehensive Review
Keywords: Cardiovascular diseases, antihyperlipidemics, dyslipidemia, statins, cholesterol management
Abstract
Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) remain the leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Dyslipidemia is a major modifiable risk factor, and antihyperlipidemic agents, including statins, fibrates, and PCSK9 inhibitors, play a pivotal role in reducing cardiovascular risk. This review explores the mechanisms, efficacy, and clinical outcomes of antihyperlipidemic therapy, highlighting recent advances in personalized management of dyslipidemia and its impact on cardiovascular events.
